Time to play catch up

Wow, I turned around and it's September already... What happened to August? Oh thats right, we were too busy to notice August. Believe it or not, the first couple weeks weren't that bad- Grant had Golf camp and Tennis camp, then back to the Y for a couple weeks. Taylor just worked- a bunch. Then it hit- back to school time. We had scout stuff and football stuff and baseball stuff and PTA stuff, not to mention shopping and mental preparation. Oh yea, did I mention that Ryan had to leave town to go cover Baltimore for the Verizon strike? Yea, that 10 days was a blast. Once school started, it was back to routine in the mornings- something we had really gotten away from- with small exceptions. Grant is riding the bus from home this year so he's here a little later in the morning and Gabe started baby preschool so he is up earlier. So far so good! Grant is enjoying the 3rd grade, scouts just started back up, and he is playing flag football this year with a couple friends. Gabe is just being your typical happy 14 month old boy- running around, getting into stuff, and laughing all the way. Taylor, my little boy, started his Senior year..... he seems to be enjoying it so far- his own painted parking spot is a plus. He quit football this year in favor of baseball so he gets to be part of the "PUB" at the varsity games (they paint their bodies- it's kinda cool). He has a new job for the school year, is looking forward to college stuff, and has a cute girlfriend. Life is good until he has to get home and do his homework.... but all in all I think we are in for a good school year. So goodbye August- sorry we missed you!
